Privacy policy

How Harpenden Design handles the information you share with us. Last updated August 2026.

Who we are

Harpenden Design is a creative studio based in the United Kingdom, offering web design, email and CRM, and photography for B2B brands. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If you have any questions, contact us through our contact page.

What we collect

We only collect what we need. That is:

  • Details you send us through the enquiry form: your name, email address, company and the message you write.
  • Basic technical information your browser shares when you visit, such as your approximate location, device and pages viewed. This is used to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

We do not collect special category data, and we do not ask for payment details through this website.

How we use it

We use the information you send to reply to your enquiry, to discuss and deliver work you ask us to do, and to keep normal business records. We do not sell your information, and we will not add you to a marketing list without your clear agreement.

Our legal basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the studio, and, where you become a client, on performing our contract with you. Where we ever rely on consent, you are free to withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site and handle enquiries, for example our website host and the service that delivers form submissions to us. They only process your information on our instructions. We may also share information where the law requires it. We never sell your data.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses only the cookies needed to function. If we add analytics to understand how the site is performing, we use a privacy-focused option that does not identify you individually, and we will update this policy to name it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need to respond and, where relevant, for our legitimate business and legal records. When we no longer need your information, we delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, contact us through the contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
